Battery Analyser
Suitable for any electric vehicle where the battery is removable and modular, for example a Toyota Prius.
The Battery Analyser is designed to be fast and comprehensive.
Allowing the user to clearly identify any weak cells, enabling an easy sale of an individual cell as opposed to a compete battery along with a fully reported battery analysis test. After the battery is removed from the car you can connect it to the Battery Analyser with the unique connectors and without any tools.
For a twenty-eight cell battery from a Prius it will take less than a minute to fully connect to the Battery Analyser.
Each connector is connected by hand, no tools are needed and takes about four or five seconds to connect each connector fully, with no risk of shorting out the connections.
Once connected and the analyser is turned on a simple screen allows you to type in the registration number and the make/model of vehicle. The test is started by pressing a single button on the touch screen.
1. Health Check
The Battery Analyser will perform an initial health check on each cell.
It will advise immediately if there are any cells which do not hold enough charge.
You will then be able to perform a preliminary charge on the deficient cells so that they can be included in the full test. If needed this process only takes 5 minutes.
2. Full Test
The full test performs a discharge test for five minutes, followed by a charge test for five minutes. You can customise the discharge and charging times for your own requirements.
During discharge or charge the status of each cell is displayed along with a chart showing the current level of charge in each cell.
Data is logged to a database automatically every few seconds so it can be reported later.
Limits are set within the system to prevent excessive discharge an overcharging.
3. Reporting
At the end of the test a thirty-four page report is automatically produced as a PDF for you or your client. If required, this can be emailed directly from the system.
The report identifies the findings in summary and detail.
Each cell is compared to the other cells and any deficient cells are clearly highlighted.
Each cell has a dedicated page showing the details of the cell throughout the test.
The total time from placing the battery on the Battery Analyser to report production is around fifteen minutes (or twenty minutes if a preliminary charge is required).
